Design Coordination (A&E)

Your architect and engineers, or ours, kept in step with the budget and the site by the owner running the build.

Drawings are finished by people who will not be on the site, and the site never matches the drawings perfectly. Our job in design coordination is to close that gap before it costs you: the owner of our company sits with your architect and engineers, or brings ours in, and checks every decision against what can be built for the number and by the date.

On a renovation that means measuring the existing building before the designer draws a wall that does not fit. On a new build it means pricing the structure and the systems while they are still lines on a page, so a change is a conversation instead of a change order.

When field conditions force a change, and they do, we resolve it with your design team and update the documents together, so the drawings the inspector holds match the building we handed you.

What it covers

Existing conditions

Renovation drawings started from measurements of the real building, not the old plans.

Priced as it is drawn

Structure, systems and finishes costed while the design can still move.

Your architect or ours

We work with the design team you have, or bring one when you do not.

Field changes closed

Changes resolved with the designer and written into the documents, not left as field improvisation.

Permit-ready sets

Drawings and specs carried through plan review and brand approval.
